Popsicle Week

A thought for killing boredom during lazy summer evenings turned into an amazing “Popsicle Week”. During mid-May I started this popsicle week on my Instagram page, during this week I posted some lip-smacking and easy to make Popsicle recipes on my feed. We all love popsicles, it takes me to my childhood memories when mango and orange popsicles used be my favorite ice lollies. All these nostalgia made me recreate some childhood flavours in some new ways and relive all those memories. Popsicles are definitely perfect mood lifter. The pleasant sensation of eating iced treats and the wonderfully sweet fruity taste are enough to lift-up sore moods. The childhood days are the best days in one’s life and I too remember those when I use to fill the homemade sherbet in kulfi moulds to enjoy the perfect summer-noons with my cousins. To relive those golden moments and cherish the memories here I’m with the mouth watering popsicles.

So let me take you on a week long journey of experiencing some amazing pospsicles.

1.Orange-Basil Popsicle

An ice lolly is a water or milk-based frozen dessert on a stick. This one is simply a mocktail made from fresh or canned orange juice flavored with fresh basil, mint leaves, little sugar and some crushed ginger. Freeze it overnight and ta-daa its ready!!

2.Chocolate Popsicle

Flavours of hot chocolate in a popsicle!! Heat some milk, add bournvita powder, melted dark chocolate, one teaspoon of instant coffee powder to give that extra sharp flavour and a little sugar which is absolutely optional. Freeze it overnight and enjoy the next day. You can drizzle some melted chocolate to add an aesthetic appeal and some extra chocolaty flavour to your popsicle.

3.Chilly Mango Popsicle

Perfect summer cooler! This popsicle hits your palate with a perfect hot and sweet flavor. This recipe simply requires some mango juice, sugar, crushed black pepper, little amount of red chilly powder and classic chaat masala which adds and extra flavour bomb. Freeze overnight and enjoy!

4.Lemonade Popsicle

How about some frozen lemonade, sounds interesting isn’t it? Authentic lemonade recipe in a frozen form. Lemon juice, sugar, mint leaves, black salt and black pepper powder diluted with soda water. Freeze overnight!!

5.Tender Coconut Popsicle

This is the most loved popsicle and easiest to make. Fresh coconut is such a versatile ingredient that it makes every recipe a super-hit. This no-brainer recipe requires only four ingredients; milk, fresh grated coconut, sugar and whipping cream. Simmer all the ingredients on low flame and freeze overnight. Enjoy!!

6.Choco-Bar Popsicle

Chocolate makes life happy! A simple vanilla flavored sweetened milk, freeze it overnight in a popsicle mould and dip in melted dark chocolate. The chocolate will form a crispy layer on top giving the popsicle a beautiful texture and flavour.
