About Me
I’m Ankit Mishra, a 20 year old self-taught baker and a budding pastry chef. I live in Nagpur and I am a hospitality student studying in Hyderabad, India. I’ve been in the kitchen from a very young age, I was always curious to know more about whistling of a pressure cooker. It was my favourite kitchen equipment, “A Pressure Cooker”!! I was always fascinated with beautifully risen spongy cakes, this led me to bake my first cake when I was 10, that too in a pressure cooker. It was good enough for the first time.
I’ve been accessing my skills to bake some magic in my kitchen and this blog is my medium to share my kitchen adventures with the world.
Although the skills aren’t hard to learn, finding the happiness, satisfaction and fulfillment in continuously serving somebody else something good to eat, is what makes one a really good baker.
You can follow me on my Instagram for more food pictures and I will also keep you all updated with my kitchen escapades through my IG stories.
To start off with-it was a disaster. Burnt and soggy cakes were common occurrences in my kitchen! Despite my failures, I persisted constantly watching TV shows, online tutorials and attempting every recipe I could imagine. Baking is one thing which always makes me happy, even the failed attempts are full of excitement. My mom gifted me a whisk when I was 15, and once I picked up my first whisk, I was hooked! Baking has always been a welcome creative release for me, and I’m blessed I can call it my career.
Happy Baking!!
